Queens Beasts proofs December?

Wonder whether it will be 1/4 1 and 2oz proofs and what the mintages will be if they do make proofs.

It will also be very interesting to see if they discontinue the 1/4 oz bu size or not, or indeed, if they add sizes to the series!

If they do, there will be special 3 coin sets, 5 coin sets, 7 coin sets and so on....would be a decent bet. The RM is out to make profit afterall. I just really hope they leave the bu 1/4 alone and dont retro mint it so as to not alienate their american customers who bought them.

Have milk spots been a problem on the Royal Mint proofs or is it mainly on the silver bullion?

Every Royal Mint silver proof coin I've had has suffered from milk spots....... So I'll be giving them a wide berth ☹️

Thats a shame as i was tempted on picking a couple of the silver proofs up, but if there's a good chance of the red dots or milk spots i might have to give the silver proofs a miss. Might go for a Gold 1/4 proof instead if they release one.

Aren't red spots gold and milk spots silver?

I've got a 2014 1 oz silver brit proof no problems so far

A 2008 gold proof Brit, again, no problems so far

FIngers crossed continue like so

Considering the age of those coins and that they're proof that's really poor.

If i worked for the Royal Mint I'd either go back to putting out proofs in 958 or failing that sub the work out to the Perth mint, they can't keep putting out silver proofs like that.
