"Demand for safe haven assets has helped the Royal mint to deliver it's biggest profit in it's 1100 year history.

The government owned business allows customers to buy gold bullion and other precious metals, and appetite for this drove annual revenues up 49% to £316.6 million with operating profit 19% higher at £13.1m"

Bullion By Post sales for 2012 £55million

2014 were £96 million

Last year it was over £100milliion +

For a mint with the oldest history, government backing, in house production £300 million in sales isn't exactly massive in comparison really
