Everything I buy on ebay, I test as soon as I get it. Out comes the magnet, scales, and measuring caliper. And if they don't match the known dimensions, and if i'm still not sure, i do a basic specific gravity test, with a glass of water and  the coin on a thread. Got caught out with a fake maple, but soon got my cash back through ebay. As for Pandas, well I won't buy any for two reasons, one, to me they are priced way to high, and two, I would say that about 99% of pandas being sold on Ebay will be fakes, and even the big companies can be caught out at times. The Chinese factories are churning out these fake coins at an astonishing rate. 

 

Just one look here and you can see just how wide spread it is, and at 30 cents a coin, there is some major money to be had from gullible people.
