Not impressed with the "slide". It's just a big magnet.

 

I have a little magnet that I stick in my pocket, (I originally had it at work with an old magnetic white board, but it's a very strong magnet, It can pick up my 500g calibration weight easily) and I use that to test silver coins. Works great and cost me bugger all

I also have a large earth magnet, I think this will be good for quality bullion and proof coins, less chance of damage or scratches , also handy to carry around

If you have purchased fake silver coins by mistake, do not discard them.

 

They may likely be worth more (raw metal value) than a silver coin if those damn bullion banks keep smashing the price of silver with their tissue (wiping) paper contracts. Grrrrr :angry:
