Auspicious year!

Is there a story? Political unrest? Economic trouble?

With gold, there has to be a story.

Looks like a lot of work went into that.

You mean the Turkish coin? Most of these were made to be put into jewelly/used as wedding gifts I believe. It looks nicer in the flesh rather than the dodgy pcgs pic!

Yes,  the pic is meh!  But I looked into the coin, very ornate.

So a more religious/cultural significance rather than monetary? There's always a story!

Lovely coin, I'd like one too :)

Bit of Spring cleaning and "upgrading" of my silver Morgan Dollars; the poorest of my set was a 1901 O, so I have traded up to a nicer exemplar, same O Mint.  The poorer quality one will find a new home, but not mine! I guess it's probably worth systematically upgrading the quality when better coins appear on the market for a reasonable price (£40 in this case).

Not sure I'd want them graded anyway, would rather leave them in original state.....How much is the PCGS graded set?

Price for normal set is now available. 199.99 USD for wire/check and 208.32 USD for credit card payment. Double issue price.

PCGS set should cost 279.99 USD.

http://www.apmex.com/kookaburra-silver-coin-value (just take current premium price and add 2x silver spot price for 2 coins)
