So guys what was your first 1 oz silver coin and what made you pick that one over the rest?

Well the first oz I brought was a 2013 Suriname $10, don't really know why I went for it I just liked the satin finish to it which to me made it stand out for the rest. the dutch mint which produced the coin was shut down after it came to light that it was producing counterfeit £1 coin which I suppose makes the coin a little bit more interesting :)

My first silver purchase was 3 20Oz Perth Mint bars. Because the were lovely! lol Paid a fortune for them though. 2½ years ago! Sadly I don't have them any more as I swapped them for gold in order to facilitate travelling back to the UK. My first silver coin? Mmm, not sure. Probably a Kookaburra. I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them, had several at one point, but gave a few away as gifts last year.

A 2014 Brit, from a little cash for gold concession shop (now closed) at Trago Mills near Newton Abbbot. I'd stumbled onto some silver stacking videos on you tube, a few weeks before and saw this while out shopping. Paid about £24 for it. Thought I'd got a bargain, (I hadn't), and 6 months later, I've got over 250 oz's of silver and 3 oz's of gold.

Bloody hate going shopping......... ;)

First silver coins I bought were the controversial £20 for £20 Royal Mint coins, fortunately they led

me to looking into silver for investment purposes so not all bad.  My first 1oz coin, a tube full in fact,

was the boring and sensible Maple leaf.

How about that! I was wrong. Out of interest I went back over my files.

The fiorst silver I purchased was indeed the 3 20Oz Perth Mint Bars.

The first coins?

03 October 2012 - 2 USA Silver Liberty Rounds at £21.09 each

05 October 2012 - 1 2012 Kookaburra at £21.63

Hmmmmmmmmm

On the 7th October I got a 1968 Sovereign for £267.64

All prices include postage.

First silver buy was 10 100 gram metalor bars in 2009, first coin was a tube of maples in 2011 for £28 each, i know :(

Just looking at silver to go maples now £12.50, funny thing is if I had've bought a roll of lunar rabbits then I'd still be about even, lesson learnt.

Actually this was my first silver coin, albeit only 50% and a junk coin

it lead me on the road to becoming a stacker.
