CoinArmour bags to protect your silver

Has anyone ever came across these before, I noticed them on Provident Metals and I am thinking about buying some of the larger ones direct from CoinArmour.

How they work: http://www.coinarmour.com/site/5a26a1e73b424c2590bcc9edae75b3c7/default?url=http%3A%2F%2Fcoinarmour.com%2FAbout_Intercept.html#2607

The above link shows how they work, they basically neutralise the natural gases in the air which cause tarnishing by reacting with silver. So they should in theory keep your coins looking more shiny for longer.

This is the larger size bags:

And smaller bags:

I'm hoping with my coins being in Airtites and then the airtite coin tubes that mine will be ok....though it is good to see other options ;)

These bags look good for those items that you can't fit into those tubes. 10oz Perth Mint coins for example.

I've ordered 25 to see want they are like. If they are good quality I will buy more and put everything in them. I will even put an airtite tube in one, if it fits.

What about doing the whole stack in one of those bags used for cloths they sell on the shopping channels that the air is sucked out with a vacuum cleaner.

Also the food one that suck's air out and seals the bag with heat be a lot cheaper.

Yea but these coinarmour bags actively naturalise the gases in the air that cause tarnishing. I expect they would be a better solution to just using a vacuumed bag, as the vacuumed bag will never be a true vacuum.

Partly relevant added for a amusement - take a look at www.myshreddies.com for means of neutralising natural gas.

If you don't smoke indoors or have an open fire then contamination is minimal.

Try ordinary double seal ZIPLOC bags from Costco.
