Bought my first coin this afternoon Marsh says it’s R3. Think I like this little hobby. Never thought I would have had to research so much but I think it’s going to be fun. Nobody told me I would enjoy this so much.

Will post pic when delivered as for cost I took an average and looked at a few books with upto date prices. The condition was rated VF and listed in Marsh by the seller. I checked as I only received my copy this morning. It all seemed to match. Time will tell.

Yep I am officially a lost coin.

I tried my Doctor to try and get a cure and he said I have a rare virus.

He called it the Sovereign Marsh R3 Virus.

He said it could get better but no better than Type R1 Virus. He said the R3 was particularly bad and if it progressed to Type R4 Virus then I was doomed.

At Type R4 Virus, he gave me a Wallet expectancy of no longer than 6 months.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your illness. Hopefully others here will be sympathetic.

WTFlip is a Marsh r3???  My guess it's some sort of a distant variant of the semi old head pre-decimal, victoria's nephew's granny with a not so short tail shield back half from England, but transplanted to india twice removed with a semi alternative design on the reverse, but not so proof on the obverse.
