Me too, and particularly in Gold, but then again, not had my grubby little hands on the Proof gold variety.

Got the first two 1/4 oz gold proofs but not bothered getting any more well overpriced , will be selling mine on soon to purchase more sovereigns , but will carry on with the 2oz silver and 1/4 oz gold bullion coins.

The 1/4 oz Bullion are very endearing I have the first four, the bu Black Bull in the images I have seen looks fab.

I have used Atkinsons on several occasions to buy bullion, and not being disappointed but  It would have been great to support smaller dealers like @SilverStan, great attentative service always from him, but on this release he is restricted to Proof sales.

We all know where we are buying our Silver bu Black Bull from,  but where are people buying their Gold bu Queen's Beast from this time around?

i usually wait a few months and then shop around or wait for a dip in the gold price , picked the Unicorn up from the RM in beginning of February for £269 . about £20 cheaper than the release price .

I need to gain some restraint!

But seriously, this is a sensible approach, notwithstanding a rise today in gold price, Atkinsons are asking nearly £279 today for one coin pre-ordered which is around £36 per gram.

It would make more sense to me that the price would be less, the earlier you adopt, given the dealer having cash up front, and therefore, being in a nice bargaining position with the manafacturer.  This is the case in most business transactions, but clearly inpatient people like myself, keep the prices hiked!

Even buying 250+ units would attract in excess of £35 per gram! Now where is my bank card!
