Yes i see the pretty PAMP bars in their packages. The dealer certainly would not let you take it out of its packet and the vast majority of buyers will not remove them either, they would lose value taken out of the OMP. The only bars i have ever got in OMP's were some Royal Mint silver bars. Altogether there is too much downside risk with gold bars. There are so many nice gold coins with details that give you a fighting chance of spotting a fake.

What about bars which have that Kinegram? Is that some kind af protection agains fake bars? what do you think? But after all i will buy 3-4- dukats or  2 1oz Austrian Philharmonic. other money will invest in silver . I did some research in Slovenian gold coins but they all have such big premiums and i think it will be harder to sell for good price if i will need some money.

the fortuna design on the fake pamp fills up more of the

bar surface?

It looks like it.

Scary stuff - I haven't dealt with gold bars but I was sure the wrong one was a fake - the fake looks slightly nicer without close examination and the design on the cards is clearer, wow.

Good decision. Forget these gold bars. There will always be problems selling them even if you have bought them from an official shop, even with all the paperwork, there will be people who are wary of them because of the fakes. Buy a coin that is popular in Slovenia. Popular coins sell well so you will be able to sell it easily when the time comes. Perhaps sovereigns sell for good prices and you could buy them off this forum or the British dealers. Whatever is popular and sells well, this should be your choice.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.

How far away from Vienna are you Beekeeper? You could go to Münze Österreich's shop and buy gold bars direct from them so you'd know they were real. Could get your silver philharmonics at the same time.

Good advice, im 300km from Vienna. Thanks
