Just picked myself up my first  1oz 2015 Britannia coin , looks lovely .

I don't know a lot about this coin I know Britannia coins come in 22 and 24 ct ,  I was wondering as this was a mixed date coin  how  can I  tell what ct my coin is ?

Also would like to know what weight these coins can  be?  mine is 31.247g   thickness is slightly over 2 mm .

From 2013 the gold coins have a millesimal fineness of .9999 (or 24 carat gold). Until 2012 the gold coins have a millesimal fineness of .917 (91.7% or 22 carat gold) with the non-gold component being copper until 1989 and silver from 1990.

2013– Gold Britannia specifications (gold content, and approx total weight)

Five ounces: diameter 65 mm, (156.295 g)
One ounce (2013) : diameter 38.61 mm, (31.104 g) 'larger thinner coin' just for 2013
One ounce (2014–) : diameter 32.69 mm, (31.104 g)
Half ounce: diameter 27 mm, (15.60 g)
One quarter ounce: diameter 22 mm, (7.86 g)
One tenth ounce: diameter 16.50 mm, (3.13 g)
One twentieth ounce: diameter 12 mm, (1.58 g)

1987–2012 Gold Britannia specifications(gold content, not total weight)

One ounce: diameter 32.69 mm, (31.104 g) (total wt 34.050 g)
Half ounce: diameter 27.00 mm, (15.552 g)
Quarter ounce: diameter 22.00 mm,(7.776 g)

Is they any reason why mine should weight more or is that normal ?

They should always weigh slightly more unless they are circulation coins (not the case). Also your scale might not be 100% accurate but I would expect it to be more 31,14-31,18g.

Thickness is is sometimes hard to measure as some (proof) coins have a protective edge on the rim.  But if that is not the case your coin might not be golden inside...

Can you measure diameter and thickness and post pictures?

If you bought it from a reputable dealer, they will be happy to check or exchange. On eBay you can request a return and refund if you think it's not genuine.

Your coin is within the legal tolerance for a gold 1oz Britannia.

When I measured the thickness of the coin I can only measure the rim of the coin which is about 2mm but the middle is less .

I Got this coin from  hgm dealer which seems good .

No worries , must be genuine
