You can bet your bottom dollar this is being videoed when opened and if anything is missing they will be in deep do do.
Imagine challenging the Edinburgh Assay Office on the contents of the package.
Literally the most secure chain of custody I can think of in the "normal" world outside of law enforcement...

I have thought about challenging them with a complaint to the Postal Review Panel or indeed the postal redress service. 
The difficulty is that The Royal Mail (and they know this) have done everything by the book. 
They have paid the appropriate amount and they have also added a goodwill payment. That ticks all the boxes that they could possibly need to to avoid legal scrutiny. 
The "right" thing to do and doing what is expecetd of them are two very different things. 

Yeah, mine is similar - basket total and then total below. 

I have been told there is a special room where parcels go in, but miraculously dont ever come out. At least in one piece anyway.

Well, I am not going to get over excited until I have the package and have opened it. 
I would not put it past someone to have engaged in some foul play here. 
Been reliably informed by someone that has a source within the dangerous goods centre that items like this go missing all the time.

The Royal Mint are opportunistic money grabbers 
I honestly think they didnt know about this glitch and are only just now figuring out that they gave away £100,000's in lost revenue to silver forum members 🙂

Exactly how most of these case's turn out. Your far better off this way, time saved and extra spot price etc. Just a shame they didn't pay out first then find it ( would have made up for the stress )
