  1. Check to see if there is the Queens Head on one side and a atrangely dressed woman wearing a helmet, leaning on a shield and holding a trident in her other hand on the other............if so should be ok............................sorry but do find that amusing LOL
  2. "Uncertainty for next few weeks" just make that decades,if we are all still here. Makes no difference, aint going to solve any geo political issues or solve the debt crisis.................probably pull back short term,Pound probably suffer...............long term 5 -10 years I'm still extremely bullish about PMs' and will buy at every opportunity I can.............world uncertainty just increases every day.
  3. Golden rule of slabbing.................Buy the coin not the slab..................eg. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-British-Elizabeth-II-St-George-Gold-Full-Sovereign-Coin-PCGS-MS69/181724081847?_trksid=p2045573.c100507.m3226&_trkparms=aid%3D555014%26algo%3DPL.DEFAULT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20151016114640%26meid%3D04534cef02854eb894599e744367c538%26pid%3D100507%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26
  4. Like to see it fall as would like to buy...........head on the block can see few more pullbacks from time to time but contrary to usual with interest rises, certain imo, I will be bullish for gold with gradual upward trend hitting £1050/£1100 end of year. If Trumpy manages to get the dollar to crash, which he could do.........then fireworks.......... gold will rocket..........but dont think it will be allowed to happen and manipulation will continue with steady upward trend though Probably complete bo**ox Harry Dent reckons it'll be $400/£330 at end of year......truth imo nobody has a clue re prediction of gold price WAY TOO MANY BLACK SWANS ABOUT........
  5. Hi Lizzie and welcome...........We've spoken to each other on a few occasions on the phone about Sovs but I'd have to kill you I'm afraid if I revealed my true identity to you Very interesting you are interested in errors and over stamps...........so am I.................please pm me on here if you ever have any bargains in that area that you want to part with I may well be interested,...................welcome again........
  6. £40 + will get you a really nice set,not neccessarily off e-bay £60+ on there but often come across them in antques shops, curio shops ec........nice addition as a purely collectable item, much better with nice original box too............plenty about.
  7. Interesting thread and my only contribution is to say I see nothing wrong with the title of it at all.........................Op had awful service,in his/her opinion, and has every right to express that should they wish.Providing he /she is telling the truth,as they feel it,which I assume he/she is,then op imo is quite within his/her rights to describe his/her experience regarding any aspect of their dealings with another party in any way that they see fit. I would have absolutely no problem saying I had a bad experience with a seller,if that were the case..........It certainly attracts attention and as this thread shows stimulates debate. It is totally different than saying " Dont deal with Ravinella",or "SovereignSteve sucks"......"only quote that as it is used above".... or "XYZ is an out and out con artist" as they are NOT anecdotel experiences but more generalised sweeping statements which give instruction to others and convey regular problems which is not the impression that this title conveys in anyway to me whatsoever. No I would encourage such specific descriptons if that is what someone feels........to the op it was "awful service", I cannot see the slightest thing wrong in him/her expressing how they felt about this............freedom of speech imo and a bit of a non story.............
  8. No problem VITAL though if you dont mind me saying so.....The 2017 Proof is a good buy cos it is in excellent quality( well should be but always a risk with anything the Royal MInt knock out)...............Remember with collectables the quality of the coin is vastly more important in making it collectable to serious collectors. Ie even if it is rare or has an error or other collectable virtue it isnt worth anything like as much as you may think unless it is of good quality and higher grade.Dont buy Fine or less than Fine when it comes to collectables............buy at least gVF,VF or preferably gEFor EF..................... UNC,FDC obviously, but wont be cheap. Condition is vital with collectable coins...................CANT STRESS THAT ENOUGH.I am probably teaching you how to suck eggs but alot of people often forget this and end up very dissapointed. Way above my league of buying, but just have a look at John Blyth site or his e-mail shop to get an idea of what I am talking about.
  9. E-bay,trusted sellers I've had dealings with before, like goldenguinea,BucksCoins.........................Chards,Baldwins.......last two are top retail price remember but are open to haggling with and couple of others who I'd have to kill you afterwards if I told you.................If your new to collectables, shop around and bear in mind that you are going to be paying way more money per coin than bullion soverigns for instance. Derpends what suits you I prefer to buy 1 or 3 really good collectables pure year than a dozen bullion valued coins, but thats just me.......got to do what suits you best.
  10. Atties bullion price always very good in my opinion and free postage a big help.......they are purely a bullion outfit I reckon and a waste of time for collectable numismatic coins.......If I want bullion I nearly always get it from them, collectables they dont even figure in my thinking as to where to look................
