  2. One half sov and I can get you a bag of pretty much anything you want.
  3. Have any of you wondered about the coins minted today and how they might be seen and graded in the future? I’m speaking about general circulation coins. With contactless now (I presume) being the most preferred method of payment and circulation coins still being minted, surely that means less wear. I may not be posting this in the right section of the forum but surely there will be more higher graded circulated coins in the future approx (2019 -2024) as I write this.

  5. Yes, agree here too. The beauty of collecting 1/4 Brits and Sovs are that the proof capsules are the same, and you can mix and match presentation boxes.
  6. I'm pretty sure the 1/4 Britannia from those years are 22mm in diameter. And that is right about the weight. So I would say your coins are correct
  7. Hi all, looking for your help. I usually only buy sovereigns but picked up a couple 1/4 oz Britannias locally as a change. From what I can find the dimensions from Royal Mint are 22.05mm diameter and 7.77g. Mine weigh approx 7.80g and 21.95mm in diameter. Is this about right for them? Could any compare? They are 2020 and 2019.
  8. I struggle to remember my own phone number
  9. Thank you very much for the information.
  10. It's not all about looking at numbers go up and down you know. Answering comments of a low eb
  11. It is a nice set, indeed, but usually difficult to sell. The people who are interested and can afford to buy a full set are only very few, unfortunately. There are many sets advertised online on antique websites or auction houses for big prices, but are not selling, even in years. The person who will buy your set will buy it to keep it in family as a heritage for children. Your set is made by a well-known silversmith and is complete, so this is a good start. Options for you: 1. Split the set and sell them individually on Ebay. They will sell probably @10% over spot. After deducting the fees, the result is under spot. Don't do it. 2. Sell the set to a bullion dealer. They will pay @15% under spot. Don't do it. 3. Contact an auction house. Maybe they will sell it @30% over spot. After deducting their 35% fees, the result is under spot. Don't do it. 4. Try to sell at forum as a set. I am sure you will find someone willing to pay 10%-15% over spot. I don't think you will be able to achieve more, unfortunately. I know, usually the expectations are higher, especially seeing online prices for similar articles, but from my experience silver flatware/tableware will not sell for more. Good luck with whatever you will decide to do!🤗
