I'll be attending the bloomsbury coin fair on 5th july (mostly cos I'm nosey and never been before)

If any members are interested I have the following to sell/swap/show

2013 taku 1 oz £19

2014 rm lunar horse mule £75

baird and co. lunar dragon round £18.50

it mostly only makes sense if you are either after a specific coin and only want maybe 1 or 2 as

other members on this forum have the same coins cheaper in bulk. those interested in the taku

for example might want to have a look at mine before making any bulk buying decisions.

I can also help test coins if anyone wants another opinion.

there was a lot of people selling ancient coins at the fair, you really need to

know your stuff to get a good deal on those I think. I found this one table that

had amongst other things various older silver coins going for melt. It's a good

deal as I found various florins and shillings that I got for ~£2-4 each. I did

buy a rather unimpressive mexican peso which didn't contain anywhere near

as much silver as I thought it might have. I'm still up on dealer selling prices

for the day and the coins look right and weigh right so should be genuine.

the lesson for me is stick to what you know. it's was an interesting day and

so much different stuff to check out.

I wend lot of older coins, one chap had nice graded colourised lunar, asked if he had any pandas, and he said 'only fake ones but they wouldn't let me sell them at the fair' which was good to hear

As a coin dealer, he shouldn't even have them in the first place.
