wonder who will buy from them they aren't cheap,  just  compared to my favourite two UK bullion dealers.

This is all a bit odd. Bullion dealers obviously sell different mints bullion coins but not aware of another mint, especially a long established one like the Royal Mint selling other mints bullion?

Foreseeing a mad rush bullmarket ? RM out of gold to sell or protecting what they have, cutting into other dealers' market share, Brexit ......or just another way to make money ? Who the heck knows ?

Just increasing the number of products they can fleece the public with. Obviously realised that some people buy other gold coins so they decided to corner this market too. The odd extra percentage point here and there all adds to the profits.

They appear to struggle to even shift their own inventory and have it for years like 1oz gold year of goat and 2015 Brits. Maybe they are in a transitional stage and and going to give up minting any coins directly themselves!
