Fair play, I didn't know they were that cheap.

It stands to reason though I guess, the proof sets often go for £120 ish.

I didn't even consider Chards, if I like my 2014 proof when it arrives, I may look at backdating.

I've been having a look recently at the 4 and 5 coins Britannia silver proof sets. I'm very tempted to get one of each year available. When some single 1 oz Britannia s are going for £60 plus, and you can pick up the sets for about twice that, I start getting interested,

Yes, I can see why.

I don't think I have seen many 1oz proofs go for £60 ish, but that's probably because I don't watch them.

If I could buy some for around that price, I'd be tempted to sell one of my 98-14 britannia date runs and put it towards a proof run.

With the price the 1oz BU seem to be attaining on eBay at the moment, it would probably put me half way there.

yeah for example I've seen 1997 BU Britannias going for £60 odd. But having a quick check on ebay sold,

And this seems to happen quite often. I just think the proof sets are very cheap, and until people cotton on to the fact, I might just pick up a few.

i have 6 mint sealed BU 2006 Britannia`s, may have to consider selling if the price is right. But there so pretty, they were the choice pick of 15 mint sealed coins.

There is no 1997 BU britannia, they didn't start till 1998. Assume you mean proof?

The sets don't do it for me at the moment, if I was going to start it would be the 1oz proofs.

Maybe if you don't know the name of a foreign coin you'd just copy what's wrote on it. They have used the same Eliz II description even for the George V coins.

Why does he not show both coins in all his listings? Do you assume that he has two 1927 coins for example?

I'm tempted but I don't think I will be buying my first ebay coin here.

I assumed it's two the same.  I wouldn't risk it.  It'd be wondering 'will they arrive' and 'are they real?'.
 
If they are going for half price you'd be better getting a cheap flight over there to buy in person.

Not been watching them too closely, but seems like they've been going for around £330-5 + £13 postage

 

So people are saving maybe £30/40 than buying 2 from HGM, not fantastically large saving considering the worry of not getting what you paid for.
