Found some time to work on something I've wanted to make for a while, a rather heavyweight 999 silver letter opener, very much a work in progress and some brainstorming needed for the handle. I've attached a video for anyone wanting to have a closer look.

I poured some big bars today!

This one is my all time favourite and came out at 8.35 ozt

As  a letter opener I would smooth off and polish but add a groove just under  half way on the top for your thumb

@Silverhunter it's going to be smoothed over and polished, not sure at that stage yet. What do you mean by the groove?

A rounded grove where your thumb would go while opening letters just for comfort

Just a small update on the silver letter opener, went with a twist handle for a nice contrast. Thinking of putting a nice coin on the end of the twist.

Made some tiny 1/2 oz bars today! These were pretty tricky to pour, so small!

Today I also made this "Tower of Shot" by accident. 

I had charged up my crucible to pour but then changed my mind (I had been pouring lots and the crucible needed a break). 

But the shot was in long enough to sick together. 

It is not for sale or anything because the "Tower of Shot" is crumbling and breaking pretty easy - but it looks bloody cool!

Hey @Trumar Not finished yet, quite busy with real work at the moment and this is just a little side project. Will definitely upload a picture or two when i get round to finishing.
