So does that mean you'll be producing proofs from now on?:)

With the amount of work it took to do this one piece...I dont think this will be a regular series!

So I guess yes, that means they will be "limited edition" "Low mintage" proof pieces :):):):):):):)

Are you offering this/these bar(s) for sale?  If so, you need to state a price.

If you're making them to order and advertising here then it's more like a business in which case you should also be looking at possible "business membership" of some sort.

Are you just showing us something that you're making?  If so, you can use the "today I made" thread.

Only just seen this even though I've looked at these pics before, the top one looks like a dog's head! and I've only had a small G&T:wacko:

Looks good. Just out of curiosity how do you polish them to get the mirror effect. I imagine in my head pumice & a polishing lathe :)

I do it all by hand, I start with 80 grit sand paper, then move to 120, 200, 2000, 3000, 5000, 7000 then I polish by hand with a silver polish foam.

Took about 90 minutes work end to end, depends on how deep any imperfections are at the start. Here is a "before shot" of the square.

And here are the results...

Of course, hand finishing may be your personal choice...heart and soul? But a square block? The hearts would be nice hand finished.

Hope you take this well :)

Yeah a heart is on the cards for sure! People in the USA love the chunks and these sell well there!

Hand working it is fine for me, I dont have the space for the right tools at the moment. One day though!

Not taken badly mate!

@BackyardBullion Is there any reason why you used so many different grades? i only use two which is all you need to get a mirror finish, also i think a pendant motor or a dremel with a decent polishing set up will help cut your time right down, looking very nice.

I mainly use the 80 and 120 to smooth it out, then only a few minutes on the other grades.

I loke doing it by hand at the moment, and I dont have space for the tools right now!

BB, I mean well. You have a skill and a market you know.

And here we have #3 - Kit Kat bar. This is my favourite of the bunch.

Heart next I think, in a week or so - need some time to grow some skin back on one of my fingers!
