I ordered 3 last week and received them on Monday, I just ordered another 3 using the same card and Delievery address and it went through and received a confirmation email as well, let's see what happens next.

If they sent you 2 x household limit, I would try again  Worst that can happen is they refund you in a few days if they think you're not going to be buying their 'Excellent value lol" proofs etc.

I've just had a quick look to see how this price stacks up against a few other bullion dealers and as of 1.00PM today, and for a single coin purchase they were as follows:

Atkinsons - £304.68 (inc. free delivery)

ATS - £306.40 (no falcons available, only the QB lion)

Chards - £280.84 - but they are out of stock

 

That's keenly priced for the falcon - I'm not sure it's been much cheaper than that since it launched. I usually get these from Europe and from memory, it was around 315 euros, now nearer 330.

I've ordered one anyway, see how it goes. 😊

If you buy 250 of the Sovereigns from Royal Mint Bullion then they’re £253. Wonder how many H&B bought to make selling them at £229 viable!

 

Same goes for the Falcon - might have to pick up a couple at that price.

Well hes made up.  He's the youngest though over 40. I'm pleased for him he has never saved before.  He says he is going to try to buy  6oz a year.

they've priced in the marketing and want as big a marketing

Not sure about the Falcon, but perhaps H&B negotiated and paid for, a deal with the Royal Mint to buy a large quantity of the 2019 Sovereigns at the prevailing Gold price in Autumn last year?

Anyone remember that the Gold price got down to £900 4 or 5 months ago?

Only my thoughts.  I’m certain in their t&c’s they could pull this deal at any time- I’m sure they won’t be making a penny piece of a loss.

It's always wise to be cautious, but if you can afford one at £229 then they are a very attractive purchase

Ive decided to order one. Being my 1st bit of gold and if the deal is on, i may order more later but one problem.

My billing address is wrong but im pretty sure it isnt? Sending to house i live in. Any ideas?

If it’s failing when trying to make payment - perhaps need to check that the delivery address is the same address that payment card is registered to. Sometimes if these are different transactions will not process  - just a thought

Ive sorted it. Google filled in the info, instead of my house number. Google put my street address in again which was the reason for incorrect billing address.  Im blaiming Jack Daniels for not noticing.
