I would doubt it. Depends who you bought from. Most would be savvy enough to spot a fake before selling it.

Certainly anyone here would be keen to rectify the situation if they did let one slip through.

Contact whoever you bought it from and they should sort it out.

I am not aware of it happening in the past.

I have and they have responded straight away and seem quite shocked. I am kind of hoping it's my mistake as I want to have confidence in buying off here. As I have been stung on eBay before

I just had a problem with this subject, I sold two sovereign coins to someone abroad, who said they were fake so obviously I was keen to get them back so I can resolve this issue. I bought the coins from a respectable company, so like someone said I will check and then contact the company, but at the moment it is worrying as my reputation is in question. I sympathize with you.
