Today I bought.....

Recommended Posts

On a complete whim I just bought the 2002 queens jubilee proof crown collection with box. 22 coins at .925 and 2 at .999. Total of 24 coins for £290. Seemed a decent deal at the time.

the dish at the bottom left is plated, couple of hollow silver handled bits, solid silver pocket watch non working, scrap coins and silver and 9ct watch fob, paid £36 all in plan to recoup what i can from the pocket watch and silver plate/hollow silver cased cutlery and keep the watch fob and scrap coins.

Nice little collection there.

Should double your money if not more?

Thanks:) its possible i might get the bits I am keeping for free or at least well below melt if the other bits do well, I suspect the watch may do quite well on its own that's 76 grams including movement, maybe a tenner for both the silver handled cutlery, god knows about the silver plate dish, apparently it has a blue glass inner lining so maybe worth something small.

ebay, my max bid was actually 45 all in but it went for quite a bit less:) the watch fob was quite hidden in the photo, that weighs 14 grams , do you know if the front is solid gold? if so might be a couple of grams of 9ct there though maybe im being optimistic there lol.

I just got home.  Thought I'd post up a couple of pics.

Quick calc gives me £12.09/coin and £12.98/oz ASW.  Shame it's not bullion grade
