Recently picked up my first 1oz-er, 1979 Krugerrand - very nice to hold in my hand, I think i've finally been converted from sovereigns!

May i ask where did you go for it?

Bought 2 Sovereigns from Chards today, added them to an order i have; this is a good way of saving on postage if you are already waiting on an order from them.  I had a problem with the order link they sent me but it was sorted quickly i paid by BT instead.

Not sure how many they would allow you to add though.

Bullion by Post.

Not my ideal choice (i've had bad experiences in the past with them - if Atkinsons had what I wanted i'd go with them 100%) but I was looking for an older example as all I could seemingly find was 2018 examples.

Should also say it was more expensive because it was a specific year, but personally I couldn't care less, i'd sooner pay more for a year I wanted than a decent price for something I didn't :)

My GF loves Gucci so I set out to buy her some jewelry, ended up finding this necklace on sale £369 instead of £715 which is appears to be everywhere else

It's 18ct, no idea of weight atm, not listed anywhere, I'm sure a scandalous amount for £369

Today I added a 1887 sovereign to the collection. It's got a really nice colour to it.

Nice choice...

That special colour is a unique 1887 “yellow gold” look due to the silver content that was added in that year only, apparently!

At a 10 year low - continued my Platinum 1 ounce collection - this time with a QB Griffin, could not resist at under $900.  Between the QBs and the Britannia I liked the Griffin the most

Some silver, an easy choice at these low prices: 20 2018 OrientalBorder Britannias, some vintage modern Libertad bullion ounces (2002/2005) that have some numismatic value,  a couple of BU 2018 Krugerrands (against my better judgement - but at $18, cant complain), a few 2016 Kooks (a steal under $20) and some Mandala Lions in case that Chad / Scottsdale series takes off?.

On the gold - waiting for the Libertad proofs ...but ordered up some BU 2018 1/10th ...just in case. that is the key low mintage this year again.  Of course with the annual Libertad lottery this year the 1/10th could be the most abundant of the set.  Whi knows...worth a punt every year !

Also picked up more QB quarter ounce gold from each of the designs. Never a bad pickup, as.  I would like to have a complete duplicate 1/4 set st the end of the series to sell ...or admire?
