Today I bought.....

Ordered something a couple days ago that I think you Brits will appreciate.  Its chunky, and I'm really looking forward to it.  Don't want to spoil it by announcing, but hopefully it will ship in the next few days and I'll post some pics in the received thread soon.

HGM?

Nice price ?

I'm a bit of a worrier over who will buy silver if/when price rises and everybody tries to sell,so just bought into the royal mint signature scheme. Not exciting or pretty to look at,but should at least guarantee a quick sell when I need it. ?

Got it from Ebay. You just have to be carefull and use only serious dealers for these ones, as there are many fakes around.

I am pretty new to this and with a lot to learn but trying to stay informed and do as much research as I can. I am planning to be sending several for certification in the future. And hope that I will not have (many) bad surprises! ?

Can you add value to ancient Roman coins by having them graded? Besides them being confirmed as originals?

As you said firstly I would like to have the confirmation for myself. Second is the presentation, as they are mainly smaller coins. Third I believe it will make any potential resale easier, as people would be more reluctant to buy such coins from a private person.

Also so far I have seen that certified ancient coins are much more expensive than the similar raw ones.
