A 1kg Cook Islands Bar is about £5 more than a 1kg Koala and more or less the same price as a 1kg Lunar 2/Kookaburra

Thanks morezone I cant believe I did not know about these until now. One of these is going on the Christmas list.

I stopped in my lcs earlier and he was completely out of ASEs. So, the only thing I bought was a 1 oz silver round that has the USS Constitution on one side and a quote from the Constitution on the back and that it was made by Liberty Mint. As far as I can tell, Liberty Mint is no longer in business, and the round has no date on it, so I'm not sure when it was made. It weighed 31.130g. I'd like to get one of the magnetic slides so I can check them out that way in addition to weighing them.

My first foray into vintage silver Libertads - the 5 coin set of 1992 proof silver Libertads, in original packaging. Pretty pleased with these -at around £90 delivered. Looking on Apmex think they are worth double that. I really love the modern Lib proofs, so I am looking forward to comparing the old and new side by side.

Today I bought a 2007 Solomon Islands silver proof ten dollar Royal train coin. Similar in shape to a 50 pence piece and is sterling silver.

Not a usual choice of coin but it has got an image of a class 67 loco that I have worked on.

I'm sure I could sell it for a small profit to a spotter but I'll most probably keep it.

@Numistacker

Do you have a link to actual mintages of the 1/10th proofs, I've been looking for this for a while
