Alternative loose 1oz silver coin storage for poker fans

Im just been having a bit of a spring clean here and have unearthed a few bits i had left over from the poker night i used run in my local social club a few years back

Having a little messing about with a few un-capsulated 1oz coins i have and found they fit a very good fit into the acrylic chip case used for moving a player from table to table

This poker chip case show will hold x5 rows of x20 chips in each.  A standard casino poker chip is a few mils thicker than a loose 1oz silver round so you'll squeeze a couple more oz.

So one tray should hold you around 110 to 120 loose coins in total or 11 or 12 per row depending on your 1oz coin type/thickness

Once a row is full everything is snug and secure so, very little to no movement

If you had over loose 100oz, you can easily buy another chip tray and they'll stack nicely on top of each other

  • Case With LID

They also hold capsuled 1/2 oz coins very snugly (see the perth mint 1/2 oz koalas below)

Also shown how it doesn't fit capsuled coins AT ALL, no matter how you try

But if you collect loose 1oz ONLY these could be a a good option for keeping your stack in one place and easily transportable or retrievable from you safe or safe storage place.

Also bear in mind if any of you got gifted the crappy Argos poker sets or supermarket poker sets.  Those aluminium chip storage cases i would assume do the same purpose for loose coins. You may have one in the loft/garage you dont use any more

Maybe if any other members here have case they could have an experiment and post/show results

  • Remember these are ONLY suitable for LOOSE 1oz silver coins or capsulated 1/2oz silver coins
