Video Link question

Hi I was looking for some help when I post a link using the link icon all I get when I post it is and link address that people have to click on to get redirected to youtube I can't get it to bring up the video screen as in the pic, mine's the bottom post but I want it to look like the one above it when you just have to click on the vid, thanks hope someone can help

Hi Alec,

Not sure why your link isn't working. I have grabbed the short link from the YouTube page. You get it by pressing the share button on the youtube page.

And then I have removed the s and it seems to have embedded. I also left your original link there, incase there was any problem with others viewing embedded videos that aren't encrypted, so they can just click through to YT.

Again, not sure why the full link wasn't embedding. It was supposed to.

its ok i found what i was doing wrong i was using the LINK button  and then putting the link into it but if you jut put the link on to the page it works ,,, another question how do you delete posts???

Yes your correct, I just edited your post in the other topic and simply copied and pasted the full link from your YT video and it worked! That's the best link to use, the full link with the S, then all members with any browser should be able to view the embedded video.

 

I have locked this topic, rather than delete as it is useful for future reference.
