yep I understand, I don't really sell on e bay to be honest , im a generic man I think , gotta get the average down with the vat issue and buyback being so low  if youre not selling on e bay

the couple of bargains that brought it down were the Guernsey doubles at £12.50 each and the 6 coins ive just bought off a fellow stacker at £13.33 per coin  collect basis  no postage

Hi Guys,

Looks like Silver is going down later this month/early next month. Many commentators on Kitco are quite bearish for the Summer months and even David Morgan (the so called silver guru) is anticipating $17 and possibly even lower before it rises again.

Now you know why I don't pay any attention to these "Experts".  :P

My current stack average has risen a little, due to my recent buying of a few older Britannias, some kooks, and Gaisoppa rounds, but it's till sitting at a healthy, £16.41 an oz. Will need to get it down though. Want to try and get it to below £16.

My basic coin stack is about £14.50, I don't include my numismatic stuff in that as it's not going to be sold, but would probably closer to £20 if I did

Ah, if we are being selective on what we include then I reckon I wouldn't be far off Craig's average.

I like that idea.

Stacker since 2013

just off topic a little , but keeping on silver  if I can buy an ounce for £16 average, how much profit do jewellers make when you see a sterling silver cross or earings at ridiculous money

The retail jewellers shops make about 25%-100% on all their jewellery items. (I have a good friend who is a senior manager at H Samuels). But she says the best profit margin is in watches, of which 100-200% is not uncommon. She says, if she sells one watch and one diamond ring a day, then that is the wages of all the staff paid for for the day.

They are on different pages on the spreadsheet so I'm not allowed to merge the results. I don't make the rules!

Club 'em all together, don't use creative accounting to make your PMs cheaper than they technically were ;)

Finally got round to getting mine sorted, 36ish oz for £25 per oz which isn't so bad considering I've not got a whole lot of bullion. Included delivery/postage costs.

Need a couple tubes of ASE then, they'll set you right ;)

If I want to reduce my price, that's what I will end up getting.

Maples are crappy and I hate the spotting. Philharmonics though, are quite beautifully done in my opinion and I would happily stack them as low cost investment bullion if ££s was all I cared about. Sadly I love a bit of variety hence the higher average.
