Hi!

This listing is for:

The 21 piece sterling silver proof set of Men In Space from the Danbury Mint, first edition, plus 2 other medals of same collection done separately. Total 23 medals 21 grams eachsterling proof. Each medal is into a plastic box. A plastic card describes the scope and astronauts of almost every mission. There is also the check paid for the collection in 1970: 67 dollars !

All NASA missions until moon landing are described with a medal.

On the front of each round is a brief description of what was accomplished and who the astronaut or astronauts were that were on the mission along with a picture entailing the craft or astronauts.  On the reverse of each round is the flight (Gemini, Mercury, Apollo) along with the number in Roman numerals, a brief description of what the mission was, which rocket was used, revolutions around the Earth or the moon, the distance the flight traveled, and the launch date.

This is a spectacular set regarding the space missions and would be a great collectible for anyone interested in space, the moon, astronauts, or rockets.

Actually, yes a few times. 64 oz of silver (solidarnocs,  anniversary eagles and maple leaves, Polish silver bars) below spot posted, 2014 10 mbitcoin from new liberty mint for £12.90 posted (below spot), 2 kg of hand poured silver for £588 posted (way below spot), 100 gr valcambi silver combinar for £65 posted (over spot but still a bargain), etc. This are a few examples since September 2019 that I can remember from the top of my head. If you don't ask you don't get. But also had lots of people cursing me when asked if they would do it for spot or below spot. Swings both ways
