1/2oz Kijang Emas (Malaysian coin) - any information please?

A friend has asked me about the coin pictured below. He has one that was a present from a family member.

According to a quick Google Search the coin is a 1/2oz Kijang Emas which was the official coin of the Malaysian Mint first minted in December 2000. Apparently they were only produced between 2000 and 2003.

Anyone know more about this coin please? In terms of value I assume only bullion value.

Yes it is basically the gold bullion coin in Malaysia which is traded based on the daily gold price. It is still available for purchase from the bank in Malaysia.
