And he still had the cheek to say that was the real deal!

its been on so long, that show it had an autographed bible on it a few years back

Here you go. It said 2018 on the end credits so she's probably earned herself at least 10% on a really quick turnaround.

Spot was around £950 then depending on what time of year it was filmed.

The dealers on that show absolutely salivate when gold of any sort comes in as they're always guaranteed quick easy money just on the scrap alone. I normally record it and just watch any stuff of interest. I think that elderly lady dealt with nearly all of their dealers that day spread over a few programmes, gold everything - there was definitely a goldbug in that house ☺️

£207 for a Sov in the end from the initial offer of £5k for the 34 sovs lol.

At £950 makes about £675 at 98% spot plus we didn't see any Sovereigns with mint marks etc so the dealer may of made more than that.  

I have watched that show many times, Dickenson jumps in to save the dealers as much as to save the public. I have never seen an item to go through that show that a dealer hasn't tried to down grade.  Maybe I am being harsh, Gold is very easy to sell to bullion dealers 1/2 hour on the phone web plus a £7.50 for a  parcel and your done.

I know some of them are daft, the thing is they would be better off saying they paid well over the price eg £500 for a sovereign then they wouldn't have to pay capgains  tax. 

Anyway the dealers were at it again today only making 10% on the scrap price (not the spot price).

Theres no chance they were just bullion sovs, that dealer definitely spotted a key date in there
