Loving cup? Silver plated brass? Sterling? American?

Hello,

I must admit to being completely stumped by this one.  There are no hallmarks on the bottom but is some writing scratched into the surface.  It looks like Fenton Br. 127 / del / W / - /.  It's all really confusing.  There is a very distinct AR monogram in a circle and oddly a tiny o or dot stamped into the bottom of the rim.  The base is soldered flat with the bottom; no under rim.  The engraving looks like a belle epoch style with Roman Key bands.  I'm completely stymied by this one.  Would appreciate any help.

The cup is 3 1/2" tall and for the good age it must be, I would expect to see some plating wear on high surfaces.  Even the foot doesn't show 'wear through'.

It's in your hands now!

Thanks,

Curious.
