Rep Rap, Silver compound filaments and 3D printing

Recommended Posts

Very interesting discussion and interview with the chap that effectively kickstarted the move towards affordable printers. Also an interesting side discussion regarding silver being used as an additive for 3D printing circuit boards - around the 11:00 mark.

I've been thinking about a silver 3d filament for a while now myself. I couldn't afford a gold one myself since that reel would probably be $10,000 alone I'd imagine.

Could afford a $1,000-$2,000 reel (silver) though myself and print off my own designs though.

When I say afford every six months to a year or so, but can't complain if that did become a real thing.
