2020 Una and the Lion

Could be one to keep longer term @Paul some coons only come on the market every 10 years and those go for millions. Very small limited downside but a very large upside (a bit like today’s interest rates - unless they go negative 😂).

If I had that sort of cash to spend I wouldn't do it on Ebay, I'd be happy paying a few fees at auction to safeguard not getting ripped off with Ebay

100% this. I make my living mostly on eBay and even I wouldn't trust it for a transaction of this calibre. Hell it makes me nervous when I get one customer ordering several hundred £s worth of goods from me in a single transaction.

several 100s not bad really, get them to pay for RM SD and video the packing into one of those grey, sealed bags. Shouldn't be any issues at all. However. £20k I agree, no idea the best way to collect payment and deliver.

Hello Paul, this is a good question....The demand is still very strong,  it seems even reinforced. I don't know if the future will give me regrets or remorses, but I'd tend to keep it as I see a lot of  money involved for this coin. For the moment I am part of this adventure, and probably like you, I am wondering where these prices will lead us and this is part of the excitement.

That Osbourne guy has sold a lot of high value gold through eBay.  So a direct sale with a previous buyer could be very possible.

Any sensible seller who could secure a deal outisde of eBay avoiding the fees, would do so.

Looking at the strap line at the top of the page, the seller has removed the item from ebay

Excellent idea @Paul

Maybe a column for grade? I suspect a lot of these will have been graded.

Hello Paul,

Here is my take and my observations :

It would be good to have a second "empiric" and not official board in order to gather the proportion of coins sold at inflated prices :  It seems that Govmint sold 3 Unas, around £21000, LPM sold at least 3 Unas (I remember the starting prices around $10000, then $15000 and $20000, same for the Coin Connection : 1 Una sold for £12000, and 1 for £20000  (sold on customers behalf).

Auctions  The Coin Cabinet  : one graded at £27000 and the one to come at £23000+... no other sales with other offices

A recensement of coins for sale would be useful too  :

- APMEX : one for sale COA 223, around 40000€

- LCC : 2 on ebay : 1 at 38400€ or Best offer COA...

& one "sold" (?)  COA 225 at  36880€ on the 26th of dec, but still for sale now at 44800€ (and £27000 on their site)

Sold coins history on Ebay or similar :
I did notice that the Una COA 005 has been sold on ebay (£20200 11th/2), but is now for sale again in Japan ??  https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u334701490

The others are
*£21500 (12/30/19)
*£26995 (or BO) COA 10
*£22995 COA ? same seller as above but is it the same coin or another one (the seller did not mention the COA for this one)
*£30539 (or BO) COA "in the first 20%" 01/22/20
*$30000 (if I remember correctly from ShaolinStacker)
So we could have around 19 Unas sold or for sale at inflated prices in strong hands.

+ yours and mine :D

....almost 10% of the market

Youve kept as detailed records as me @Frenchie !! nice to have another set of eyes on it, i was unaware of the japanese yahoo auction

I will add the extra info when i get a chance

The "the owners" page on the web site will probaly be of most interest

https://goldunaandtheliono.wixsite.com/goldunaandthelion/the-owners

As more sales/trades/auction occur the more information will populate with time

If you wish to claim your own COA number # and for em to add your comment feel free @Frenchie

As spot is up nearly +6% for the month, I wonder if auction bids on the gold Una and lionin coin cabinets sale will be up +6% of the last hammer price ??

Possibly irrelevant imo although it won't hurt😀

Am I the only one here (serious collector), who thinks these coins are just being cycled through dealers over and over trying to make a quick few grand? Who would actually lay down 25k on a 2oz modern coin and think it'll be worth that in a few years time?

In my opinion this coin is going to tank hard when all the profit has been squeezed out by the dealers.

If mintage remains the same and no further ones produced they might hold? Versus Price compared to owing the original.
