I've noticed a lot of people replace the price with sold.

Is replacing the price good etiquette?

Good question. I do not see a problem with anyone doing this. I once asked someone on Ebay why they hadn't given me feedback (wanted to know if there was a problem etc.) and they told me that it was because they did not want other people knowing what they had paid for the item. Totally fair enough and at the end of the day it is entirely up to the seller to do what they want.

For me, I tend to 'strike through' the price, if I can. This is just so that I have my own reference point in the future, if needed. I also offer partial refunds to people who paid top dollar when I go onto reduce items that are not selling and then do sell - so that there is consistency. This may be viewed as unnecessary, but this is a community that I am very happy to be part of and I buy and sell on here more than anywhere else and it is important to me to be fair and maintain my integrity.
