My first ebay win

Recommended Posts

Hi all, i shied away from using ebay in the past, as there are just so many scammers out there. Seeing how many of you ladies and gentlemen seem to use it however, i started to try it out this week, and am pretty addicted so far!

I have bought two coins at the buy it now price, and i won my first auction last night, so pretty pleased with that.

I wondered if there were any particular "sniping" tools that people used? I also wondered if anyone else is trying to collect the ukraine lunar series. I am sure someone mentioned they were.

I seem to have really fallen for the ukraine series, not too high mintages and nice ( to me anyway) designs. Any thoughts on the series by you? Any chance of appreciation on its value do you think?

Cheers

I use eBay a lot as a buyer and a seller..

As a buyer, make sure you sign up for eBay bucks, it's free, you will get 2% of you purchases back as a gift voucher to use at a later time. It works on most categories, except anything listed under bullion. But a lot of coins are listed on different categories it works under. Sometimes they will toss you 5x Reward days, which is 10% back. That's the time to go shopping. If you pay with a credit card you'll get points or cash back, in my case I get the 10% off and 1.75% cash back. So it works out to a nice discount. Sometimes, I'll see something listed in the bullion category as well as "coins: world" a second category and I'll send the seller a message, informing them if they remove the bullion category I'll buy the item. Since one qualifies for eBay bucks and the other doesn't.

Ebay bucks isn't available to UK registered Ebay members, just so you know TCS.

We get pretty much nothing from Ebay [emoji1]

That's unfortunate, you'll be surprised on how many US shoppers are not signed up for it.
