1 oz silver Archangel Michael 2015

I have just ordered 20x 2015 silver 1 oz Archangel Michael (Ukraine BU coin) from goldsilver.be at €24,5/coin.

At time of writing they still had 62 in stock.

This price might appear high for a BU coin, but I believe it is a pretty good deal as per reasoning below.

1.       Limited mintage of 26,990.

 

2.       Price directly from National Bank of Ukraine for the 2019 version is UAH 631 (€22.42). Mintage of 2019 is not known yet, but has been increasing the last 3 previous years.

 

3.       Not many dealers have these in stock (any year) and those that do, are selling at much higher prices.

 

Just thought I’d share my findings should anyone be interested in adding some to their collection.

I’m also interested in hearing alternative conclusions as to why it might not be a good buy at this price point.

Good buy IMO! I’ve also seen them at Goldsilver.be. Was thinking about buying a box myself. Out of funds however after 2 5 oz Queen Anne’s Revenge Pirateships. 

In the beginning of the year I bought a box of 2019 Archangels (Metalmarket). Really like them. They also sell for a good premium at Ebay.

One thing I don't understand about goldsilver.be pricing.

They have in stock atm:

2015 at €24.50  (mintage: 26,990)

2016 at €33.00  (mintage: 20,000)

2017 at €29.00  (mintage: 30,000)

2018 at €31.00  (mintage: 40,000) not in stock atm

Why is the 2015 priced much lower then 2017 and 2018 which are higher mintage years. Any idea? Is this just driven by supply and demand of actual sellers and buyers instead of mintage?

EDIT: They only have 3 coins left in stock of the 2017 and 62 of the 2015. Probably pricing just based on scarcity of their own stock level. Makes the 2015 even more a screaming buy imo.

Yes.... Screaming buy indeed. 

According to LPM the mintage of the 2019 version is 30.000 maximum (to complete your data)

Received mine yesterday. Full box of 20 and all in very nice condition.
