Spanish Silver Candlestick

It is beautiful, no doubt unique, made for the church and god I assume. This would obviously have taken a great deal of time from the life of someone very skilled and dedicated, an embodiment of someone's personal sacrifice for the worship of higher concepts.

Pity they couldn't afford the candles.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.

Fine Baroque and I’m guessing from the first part of the 1700’s.

Assuming I am correct this is silver that would have originated from South America and been shipped to Spain via Cuba.

Many treasure galleons sank off of Florida including the 1715 “Plate”Fleet taking this silver back to Spain.  Books on this topic are amazing
