Lest We Forget - 9/11 Reflections

In keeping with the primary focus of The Silver Forum with reflections upon our world history, sharing with everyone a 1975 Krugerrand from the WTC Ground Zero Recovery.

Please share if anyone has WTC Recovery coins...or stories of what they had experienced on this world changing event...

I personally recall being deployed in the Med, having completed a SEAL training operation the evening before and arriving in  a foreign ally port the following morning to being notified several hours after it occurred. We didn’t see anything (papers, news videos) of what happened for a couple of days. To a certain extent I am thankful for that, as it would have been incredulous seeing the tragedy unfold real time.

It was a terrible terrible day, one that of course we will never forget. Particularly how much it revealed to the every day man about the nature of government and power in the world.

No, I will never forget what was done that day.

I don't have anything recovered from there, but I have been to the site twice since 2001. It's very strange, that site.

I was driving home from training at Blandford in Dorset on that day when I was a reservist in my local signal sqn. When I got home my wife told me to watch the news & I thought there was a film on that I'd never seen before as it didn't seem real at the time. I rang my dad and he was glued to the news and couldn't believe it either.

When I went to my day job everyone was glued to the news and were in total disbelief. Those in my local signal sqn who had the relevant skills were eventually called up to go out to Afghanistan to bolster the regular army.  The World certainly changed from that day onwards.

I remember how 12 year old me came back from school. Turned on the telly to watch simpsons only to be met with "some live news" by CNN and be dissapointed that simpsons are not happening. Took me a while with my limited english to realize what the f was going on. And then I've seen the second plane to hit WTC 😢 Still remember it clearly like it was yesterday thinking that war was breaking out.

I remember my mother waking me up and telling me to turn on the news - I watched it unfold in disbelief and horror all day. I can honestly say its something i will never forget.

I had not met my wife at the time, but she was working in NY and was leaving the North Tower when the first plane hit.

To this day she cannot talk about that day with *anyone* other than with the colleague she was with.  The escape experience created a very special bond between the two of them.

God bless all of those who were killed, saved lives, and the relatives of those murdered.

I was in 10th grade science class when the attacks had first been reported.  The details provided by the news were fairly limited, but school was dismissed soon after.  I went home and watched on my TV as the towers collapsed.  I remember the events of that day being absolutely surreal...  It wasn't until returning to school the next day that I truly started to feel the magnitude of 9/11.  A lot of classmates were absolutely devastated because they had lost family members on that day.  As someone who grew up in New York, I shall never forget.

As someone who lost a school friend, who was working in the World Trade Center that day, today is a day of remembering him.

I was working in bar at the time and a customer came in and asked to put on the telly...

Completly shocked at what was going on.  I had intended to visit a relative living in New York the week before, luckily for me I couldnt get the time off as I might have visited the twin towers that day!

I had actually booked my flight to Boston to stay with a American school friend, (who was also a good friend of the guy who was killed), only an hour before the atrocity started. The flight was a few weeks later. People afterwards asked me if i was still going to fly to the States, and i said i was definitely still going to go. The flight itself was quite empty. But all the customs personnel in Boston were thanking us for still flying to the US and not giving in to terrorism.

I was preparing a budget presentation in the UK headquarters of the US Multinational that I was working for at the time.  Somebody came down and told us about the events that were unfolding as the first plane struck one of the towers, and we then watched the live television news coverage open-mouthed.

A truly shocking event, for which the entire world is still feeling the consequences from.

I remember being 11 nearly 12 at the time & mum picked me up saying something really bad had happened. Watched the tv after school all evening & its never left my mind since. We flew to Florida in November but we didn't want to give in to them so made the journey.

I went to a parents meeting at my kids' school and heard someone say a plane hit the WTC, I imagined it must have been a pilot on a small plane that must have made a mistake or had an accident. I dismissed it as some unfortunate accident until I went home a couple of hours later and turned on the TV and the enormity of what had happened and was still happening hit me. 

A few months before, we went to NYC for our 5th wedding anniversary and wanted to celebrate at Windows on the World, unfortunately there were no reservations available and we vowed we come back. my heart goes out to those that were affected that day.

All of us had to process our own thoughts during and after the event but most of us were fortunate enough to only be witnessing this evil on TV. The magnitude of that hell for everyone on the scene who survived, including your wife, will live with them forever. Sadly thousands didn't survive the hell and their families and friends lost their loved ones and a piece of their own hearts too.

During my first full year in the RAF I had to attend and subsequently guard a crash scene after a 2 seater RAF jet crashed into the outskirts of a housing estate in Cambridgeshire, England. Several lives were lost including children and I always think back to that disaster every anniversary and other times as well. It came nowhere on the scale of significance to 9/11 (or Lockerbie) but stays with me just the same.

The world changed on 9/11, we all know that. May I respectfully wish your good lady the very best of luck and happiness. Likewise to everyone else who survived that horror (including the rescuers) and are still with us today. Sadly many have also since passed away. God bless our friends in America.

“Yes but the sounds turned off.”

My first reaction was this is one hell of a movie.

Exactly. Every 9/11 we have to either ignore all media for the day, or be subjected to relentless parroting of the absurd official narrative (I say this with true respect to the actual victims).

Every morning I listen to the radio talk shows as I drive to work. But this morning I had to turn it off after two minutes and three different radio stations.

Thanks @CadmiumGreen for posting this.  It's an event that should be recalled every anniversary.  I was working that day.  After they realized it was an attack, we were placed on tactical alert and working 12 hours shifts on, 12 hours off, securing soft targets in the Southern California area.  Train stations, bus depots, airports etc.  Largest mobilization since the Rodney King riots.

Come off it. Pretty much the whole of the World Trade Center complex of building were destroyed. Three massive rigid steel framed buildings were destroyed completely. They all effectively collapsed into their own footprints at free fall speed. There is a very recent report from Alaska University that it is impossible for Building 7 to have collapsed due to fire. Many of us knew this years ago but the calculations have been done. All the supporting columns - concrete and steel columns had to completely give way at the same time to achieve free fall symmetrical collapse. Now we can argue all day - as we are supposed to as to whether this was a demolition from planted explosives or perhaps the buildings were constructed from the very beginning with explosives and wiring to detonate - or perhaps energy weapons were used - or there was a nuclear device - or a combination of events. What a commonsense analysis tells you is a bunch of rookie pilots did not fly planes into the two towers and cause them to collapse - Building 7 didn't then collapse (after the BBC reported it did collapse) due to fire ignited from debris from the towers. 
i watched this live from my desk and in the staff coffee room. When the first building started to collapse i started. i remember it now and will until my last breath. What the ****???!!! - how can that happen? that cannot happen? My senses were telling me that it made no sense. Then the next one went down. It became ridiculous. i was too busy in those days to ponder on it more but i did not forget. The official account is total BS - utter garbage. An insult to intelligence - an insult to humanity - an insult to those who died and suffered. The US and UK are in Afghanistan for opium and to steal natural resources along the way. To feed the Deep State with cash to fund their endless criminality. The bearded man in a cave directing the attack on America was a CIA asset who died of renal failure in 2001. It is all a lie and should be exposed for that. One day it will - sadly those behind it will likely be dead and gone.

Lol, it wasn't what they said. It was more of what they didn't say. Plus the fact that as a signatory of the official secrets act myself, they knew I couldn't divulge anything that was said or not said any further. 

The problem with talking about this subject on this type of forum is that silver collecting is a big part of the prepper and doomsday community, which is a fertile breeding ground for the collection of tin foil as well. This forum has a higher than average number of conspiracy theorists than other types of forum. 

I won't go into things on this thread, as I believe that it should not be hijacked by people with an anti government agenda. But I will say this. It is interesting that Julian Assange and wikileaks have managed to uncover lots of secrets, but they have found absolutely nothing major with regards to claims around 911. 

For 911 to be a cover up, it would need the assistance of thousands of people and yet nothing has ever "come out". The human race is rubbish at keeping secrets hence the governmental leaks on both sides of the Atlantic on a daily basis. 

But I'm not here to change people's minds, just to remember friends who died in this atrocity.

Assange's background is pretty dodgy - there are numerous bad smells and copious dodginess pointing to intelligence service asset.

No rigid steel framed building had ever and has ever since suffered catastrophic collapse due to fire. Let alone collapsed at free fall speed into its own footprint. Fred Dibnah would have cum in his pants at the perfection of the collapse of those buildings into their own footprints. The chimney demolition expert would spend days over blowing up in comparison a toy town chimney and never did as well. The official account is utterly impossible. It is a lie - a complete and utter lie. Commonsense, open eyes, an open mind and a handful of neurons synapsing screams out in deafening decibels that those buildings didn't collapse due to fire.

Everyone has family and friends in various parts of various branches of service. Seriously. So do I. The official narrative is not the truth at all. Forget whatever you think you know (we all have to) and just look at what happened. See sixgun's quote below:

This exactly. There was no reason at all for any of those sturdy steel structures to have collapsed, let alone straight down, at or near free-fall speed, directly into their own footprints. Buiding 7 wasn't even hit by any airplanes. And the designers of the twin towers have stated that the were designed to withstand multiple commercial airliner impacts.

The Petagon was likely hit with a cruise missile, but who really knows because all security camera footage is hidden or "lost" or accidentally recorded over, just like the Apollo mission tapes. (Yes NASA actually said that; it's absurd). Nothing about 9/11 makes any sense according to the official story. 

Flight 93 and "let's roll"?  More fiction. Real helicopter and other footage of that day shows no wreckage of any kind at the supposed crash site. That airliner was most likely shot down, if it actually crashed at all. Who knows. But regardless, the official narrative is fiction.
