Not surprised, also Snowman #2 all but confirmed now.

Needs a lower mintage on this imo, but they won't do it.

Why is the mint even making jewellery?

I'd prefer a car bumper sticker or a tea towel myself :P

Earlier this month, the Royal Mail issued ten stamps also to commemorate the Gruffalo.  The only problem was the Gruffalo only appeared on one stamp whereas the mouse appeared on seven of the ten stamps - I am sure this had nothing to do with the forthcoming Chinese Year of the Mouse/Rat!  What is the betting that tomorrow's coin also portrays the mouse?  We can already see it in the advertising.

It would make sense as the last coin only had the Gruffalo on.

It will be

the Gruffalo confronting a mouse in a wood with the inscription “THE GRUFFALO”.

Undecided!

If like the last one, better off waiting a few months and picking one up cheaper on the secondary markets.

Interesting seeing the views out there in terms of this release, I think I'm with you @h103efa in waiting a while and picking one up under release price- the evidence is that this happens- I was watching a Silver Proof 50 Years of the 50p set on eBay- if you remember these were being re-sold initially at up to £400- it was up for £275 and from memory the release price was £215?  Anyway, I was sent an offer price of £260- with a chance of counter offer.  I see the Military set is not performing well- both these sets are nicely presented and would be nice to own.

On a different note @h103efa, do you still have that Viente Pesos?
