Feel free to use my pics of a "SAND STONE" fireplace  - to persuade where required! - - I had exactly the same issue with ER in DOORS

Sandstone is far more porous than marble - marble IS A DODDLE to CLEAN! by comparison!

AS mentioned above - I need to use a steam cleaner occasionally to ensure odd sooty /dirty marks dont get "engrained" - -

YOUR JUSTIFICATION would be - -"LOOK it only needs a WET WIPE on Marble"  😉

Thanks for the info @MikeG1978 wanted one for ages but trying to persuade the wife to have it changed as we have a nice marble fireplace etc..

To be fair you may be able to just fit one in that they are not dirty as people think

I am not trying to upsell mine but a good second hand burner is better than a cheap new one

Got a nice stovax Stockton 4 woodburner nearly ready to go just waiting on new glass and door pins as I lost one 🙄

All internals are being avid dipped so will be fresh when finished

£300 or PM equivalent which is a bargain hardly used

I totally agree cheap rubbish doesn't last

I  have a clearview pioneer 400 waiting to be refurbished 👍solid stove

They used to be made/partnered with town and country but they went their seperate ways

I have a morso 04  and love it

The brands I currently have are :

Clearview, Town and country, Charnwood, Morso, stovax, jotul and Chesneys

If I was to ever move, I’d probably take my clear view with me. But for curiosity how much for the refurbed one?

@MikeG1978 thats a bargain

It is fully stripped and rebuilt with new glass seals and baffle and bricks

Acid dipped internals and all bolts checked and cleaned/swapped out
