The Buckingham Collection !!!

Being new to the forum as a live member, I feel I need to share my recent experience with the people referenced in the subject of this thread, this through conversation is not a unique situation.

I ordered from them 1 Full Sovereign on the 18th of this month (August) to date although my account shows completed on their web site I still have had no communication.

Within the forum I do know of one other member who ordered a half sovereign  10 days earlier, who is in the same position.

Today I phoned the Buckingham collection to ascertain when dispatch would be, to be told tomorrow,   without asking for order number or anything else !!!!! this sounded suspect !!!!!!

In further communication with the other forum member, who has also parted with hard earned FIAT, found that he to day had the same response. 10 days apart !!!!

Advice please do I need to contact the authorities as this seems suspicious if not nefarious ????

Warning to all all that may glisten is not always golden. !

🤬

My biggest concern would be that their location is now Spain.

Does being a Platinum member make any difference. I doubt it! Lol

yer quite right  - @Coolsmp I am a "Platinum"member" and  In my OWN OPINION have  a reasonable reputation  on this SUPERB trustworthy Forum

this has ABSOLUTELY no correlation to what the likes  of @TheBuckinghamCollection do to bona fide  clients

I have made over £7000 transactions in the "LAST WEEK" and have ALL of the said items in my possession  - APART FROM!

I leave it up to you to think about any relationship that anyone may THINK of creating with the aforementioned body!

Fair comment, however when you see "Order Completed" for  5 to 6 days and the moneys have been secured on your credit card then no communication, as in your order has been dispatched.. etc, you twitch and then when you call ... yes you get an answer, however that answer... given I held my number, wasn't asked any id questions or for my order number, this is feeling more fishy than the EU fishing quotas ! and then response was "It will be with you tomorrow" ? ????? how was that determination made ???

Hopefully your coin shows up sooner rather then later.

Buying from Atkinson's or bullion by post or even Harrington's your coins would arrive within a few days, so there should be a valid reason for the delay by Buckingham.

In today's modern high tech super fast fandy dandy internet world, customer service should be the NUMBER ONE priority for EVERY business. When customers have to start chasing progress, that means businesses have FAILED that first acid test. Even if businesses don't have any concrete information when something is due to arrive or be delivered, the very LEAST they should be doing is KEEPING THE CUSTOMER INFORMED, even if it's to say they are still awaiting stock.

My Sister works for a retail chain that specialises in white goods and household electrics. It's not uncommon for their shops to over sell stock (especially in sales) and then realise they haven't got enough overfill left in ANY warehouses and have to order more direct from the manufacturers, which in some cases can take a couple of weeks. Her job is to be that after sales point of contact between the customer and the company, dedicated to constantly managing a portfolio of outstanding customer orders and manufacturer restock dates. Her entire day is spent chasing up manufacturers and keeping the paying customer updated, even if it's just a few words to say they've got said customer's item now allocated on the next inbound restock shipment with delivery date to be confirmed etc. Her customer satisfaction positive feedback rate is 100% even when some customers are clearly annoyed at the delay. Yet she keeps getting 100% positive feedback because she ALWAYS KEEP THEM INFORMED!

Customer service is what makes a business or breaks a business.

YES ABSOLUTELY!

I used to be a Support Engineer in the calls/response with a very large IT corporation - and my "mantra" within that role was  - - - >>>

"I DO NOT need to fix the problem! - as long as I can FIX the customer" -

thus they (the customer), in general allowed me to reschedule either parts or engineers to achieve my LATEST PROMISE  -

because THEY WERE HAPPY! with the information they had received - and regular updates as to the ongoing situation  -

maintained THEIR HAPPINESS in most cases - to achieve the desired result

which was only to fix the problem!
