Hi all

I recently got some coins, maple leafs from coin invest and some Philies from ebay, however are there any other sites EU wide that others would recommend for silver coins and bars? hopefully this doesn't replicate any other posts, looking for best bang for my buck or err..depleting pound sterling!

thanks

H

Good morning I would suggest the one already mentioned, also Silvertogo there is probably very little between the two but if just bulking up one of these might have a offer on certain coins just look for the cheapest. Also on the forum there are group buys worth looking at because of delivery charges are reduced.

Good luck please don't forget to ask members as going ahead as many people have great ideas and knowledge on the forum.🤔

goldsilver.be

Some people have negative experience with them, but I have placed 13 orders with them and I have no complaints.

In one order there was 1 item missing. They verified my claim through camera images of packing and confirmed immediately. The item was shipped same day at their expense.

In my experience they have very competitive pricing. Shipping cost is also much lower for me, because I live in Belgium. Storage of multiple orders before delivery reduces the shipping cost of course.

I use EuropeanMint https://www.europeanmint.com and also Eldorado Coins . https://www.eldoradocoins.de happy with both companies and their services. Never had an issue from either - prompt delivery always.

As others have mentioned:

European Mint, gold-silver-muenzen-shop.de, aurinum.de, depending on what you are looking for.

For bullion in quantity: European Mint.

I ditched Goldsilver.be a couple of years ago, not worth the hassle, quite a few of us on here had major issues with them.

@BackyardBullion forum group orders are worth checking into if ordering smaller amounts (uses European Mint, but will save you on postage, heard good things about his service).

Thanks folks. I will check them out. Are there any ways to avoid fees by back transfer, as I am.with RBS and pretty sure they will charge.? Do any sites accept PayPal.

Currently I am collecting coins at the cheapest rate. However have to say there are also some lovely coins out there!😁

Transferwise has a service just for this:

That's better than most dealers.

Most will either charge something for delivery or say they will include the missing item in your next order.

Aurinum  sent me the wrong coin and damaged so they offered me to return it at my cost and they would send the correct one or they would give it to me at a reduced cost.  I took it at reduced cost and ordered the correct one in my next order iirc.

Coininvest weren't interested when they sent me the wrongly dated/type of coin and while I was asking what dates they had of another coin someone sent me a random dated one because the person I was dealing with had taken a day off.

Europeanmint offered to send a missing coin with my next order.

Can't say I've ordered through goldsilver.be very often but I have been lucky when I have.
