How do you store your junk silver?

I just thought I would share how I like to store my junk silver. (Well it started out as storing my junk silver but then I decided to add some bu coins just for fun.

In the US in the early to mid 20th century (1900’s to 1950’s) banks came up with a novel way to get young kids to save. They handed out metal banks that needed a key to open. As kids put there money into it - they couldn’t get it out. They needed to bring the bank to an actual bank - were the teller had a key to open it and then deposit your savings into your bank account.

Here are some pics of my bank with my silver stash.

These banks are readily available on eBay but really nice ones - like my Atlanta bank - which was never used - are difficult to find at a decent price. The key to open them is also difficult but not impossible to find with the bank.

I filled two of the three up so far.
