There is quite a bit here in NY but im not sure if its worth the gas in my truck for me to drive to them and see what their asking. Ive called them all and ofcourse they wont gove me prices over the phone. Also, do these shops negotiate at all? Im not looking for rareity or collectiable stuff just weight

What I've seen in the few shops I've been to, any genetic silver will be a dollar or two over spot. Unless you buy a bunch, these guys won't come down in price. My lcs usually won't come down in price either, but will throw in free coin tubes or a pcgs blue box for free from time to time. Go and check out a few shops. You will never get rid of that itch if you don't.

I made my first silver purchase ever and I bought it at my local gold and coin dealer. They wanted $2 over spot. Lesson learned. You can check SD bullion, APMEX, JM bullion for better prices. Also if you do not mind waiting awhile longer for your silver to come. Wired funds, E checks usually seem to fetch the best prices when doing an online purchase. I have yet to hit a coin show to shop around to find any better deals. I wish you luck on finding the best deals around!
