During my standard scouring of Ebay, I once again came across a britannia mule with a BIN of about £25.

It said 5 available.

I decided to message the seller to inform him what he had, and the actual value.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, the seller has sent me a 2014 Britannia free of charge to thank me.

I thought that was a very nice gesture.

While it was a nice gesture, could you not have let me buy one of them first............... :P  :D

With multiple coin auctions, there is no guarantee that each coin is a mule, that's why I let him know rather than buying them [emoji1]

As an update to this, the guy sent me a coin. It was supposed to be a 2014 but he sent me a 2013.

I let him know (whilst thanking him profusely for the free coin), just incase he sent somebody else the wrong coin, he thanked me for letting him know.

Today, a 2014 britannia turned up unannounced on my doorstep. What an awesome guy.

I'm almost tempted to buy one of his other coins, and modify the payment to cover it as I feel bad for letting him know now.

And the item number is ???????

For what?

Based on my message to him he has now changed the picture from the mule to a standard coin, as he only had two mules left out of 30, but he couldn't be sure they were all mules (I reckon they were).
