Fakebook was created and ultimately is controlled by the Alphabet agencies - it is not a public company. 

i won't be using Fakebook's Libra if i can avoid using it.

it's centrally controlled and a "stable" coin so no volatility to profit from

This means crypto-currency acceptance,.  I find it odd the crypto world is wary, it breaks control of banks for retail which was the point wasn't it?    I have always expected the larger internet/tech companies to do something like this, only surprised they've taken this long.

Crypto world is weary as it actually hands control to FB. 

Larger internet/tech companies have problems around bloat. Only a handful of companies worldwide would be willing to take such a gamble - in fact only three that I can think off have the power to shift - Facebook, Google (alphabet) and Amazon.

Only 2.38Billion users of Facebook. However these are the ones who can afford a computer and smartphone I guess and aren’t too young or two old to use the tech. Somehow I think this will grow over the next century. I doubt they will go away.
