Does anybody know what this is?

@Sliopjbsail I’m providing you a link to Baldwin’s who specialise in ancient coins. @Draconicus is absolutely right that it is an image of Claudius Augustus on one side and Minerva the Goddess on the other. Just follow the link below and email hi-res images of the obverse and reverse sides of your coin to Baldwin’s. One of the deepest regrets that I have as a Silver Forum member is that a fellow member posted an ancient coin worth almost £800 which they thought was worthless. I was going to message him privately but lost sight of his post and name.

Lots of auction houses or coin dealers will also look at and sometimes value your coin without charging if you find Baldwin’s don’t reply or ask for a fee.  Just look for ancient coin auctions or dealers and valuations and you’ll find some.

As has also been mentioned a coin collecting forum would also be a better place to post than here.

Hey I took your advice and emailed them the other day. Baldwins replied this morning and said this:

“Thank you, this is a Copper AS of the Emperor Claudius and would be worth roughly £15-20 or thereabouts.”

Fantastic to know and I shall continue to cherish my old coin
