This year is the lowest mintage Elizabeth proof, aside from 2012 I think.

Marsh Book cites the 1993 Proof being 4,349 and 1990 through to 1994 all less than 5k mintage.

Again, according to Marsh-Lowest mintage Elizabeth Proof Sovereign (aside 1953 & 1957 of course!) is 1996 Proof at just 2,500.

Oh? That's interesting... this source has different numbers:

http://www.cruzis-coins.com/sovs/Sovmintage.html

It shows 1992 and 1993 as the lowest...

Yes- I think this resource quotes single issues and doesn’t account for Sovereigns  included in sets.

But their numbers are higher, not lower... so maybe the other way round?

Yes, sorry.

Perhaps someone much more we’ll read will know definitively which resource is most accurate- @sovereignsteve, @Elements

I see the 1992 proof sovereign is on the Royal Mint site available for a cool £825:

https://www.royalmint.com/our-coins/ranges/historic-coins/historic-sovereigns/the-sovereign-1992/

The guys who bought these graded 1992/3 sovereigns for these cheap prices were extremely lucky. They're hard to find.
