This year is the lowest mintage Elizabeth proof, aside from 2012 I think.

Marsh Book cites the 1993 Proof being 4,349 and 1990 through to 1994 all less than 5k mintage.  

Again, according to Marsh-Lowest mintage Elizabeth Proof Sovereign (aside 1953 & 1957 of course!) is 1996 Proof at just 2,500.

Yes- I think this resource quotes single issues and doesn’t account for Sovereigns  included in sets.

Who knows definitively then? 

But in any case the Gillick, Machin & Maklouf portraits are my favourite of Her Majesty - in that order.

I see the 1992 proof sovereign is on the Royal Mint site available for a cool £825:

The guys who bought these graded 1992/3 sovereigns for these cheap prices were extremely lucky. They're hard to find.
