What condition would this George the V Sov appear to be?

Hi all

I have a 1912 George the V sov from the London mint and wondered what the condition might be in terms of the EF, VF etc... grading system, if you can even tell from the pictures. Thinking of selling it so im wondering about the condition.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Thanks Steve, im a total noob to this sov game, what would this be valued at roughly?

It's a very common coin and not uncirculated grade so not much more than bullion really

Thanks steve, i got it from The Gold Bullion Company, they said they will buy back coins 97% of spot if bought from them and acording to the chart on their website, spot for this is at £281.59, 97% of whch is £273.14. Would they actually buy it back for that? How does it work?

Cheers.

spot is currently at £1043.89 so for a sov that is £245.73

97% of this is £238.36

Better to sell on here most likely, can probably sell for spot + the buyer will pay postage instead of you

Thanks guys

Sovereigns are not pure gold - which perhaps explains your miscalculation - they are 91.7% pure gold (22 carat).

i would buy it for spot + postage if you are interested.

Always cast your vote - Spoil your ballot slip. Put 'Spoilt Ballot - I do not consent.' These votes are counted. If you do not do this you are consenting to the tyranny. None of them are fit for purpose.
A tyranny relies on propaganda and force. Once the propaganda fails all that's left is force.
